Ollie’s vintage suprise

What a wonderful day!

This week we celebrated Springtime in the Midlands with a fantastic get together of people and animals, all orchestrated by a young man with autism in his teens as part of his alternative Education Provision.  Two different providers, Leamington Lamp and Circles Network Rugby, both support Oliver's learning and he loves spending time, having overcome some major life challenges, with both teams.

Amazing Planning...

As part of an assignment, he elected to stage a wonderful afternoon for both the company and the charity to share a therapeutic experience of Equine Facilitated Learning together.  He planned the programme, requested support from facilitators he trusted and then lead one of the two mixed groups, instructing them on safety, animal welfare and practical application of tasks.   He showed courage, confidence and great resilience in his quest to ensure that the therapy dogs, horses and humans had the best day ever.

and a vintage surprise!

The element of surprise for all of us was that he had written (a breakthrough achievement) to persuade his great friend Bob to drive our guests in style through the Warwickshire countryside in his beautiful vintage coach from Harringtons Vintage Coaches.  The gleaming heritage coach delighted everyone and gave a whole new meaning to things to do in Rugby, Leamington and Bedworth.  Well done Oliver, you cemented a great partnership into friendship and fun for all concerned.
