Celebrating Different Minds.
Neurodiversity Celebration Week is a global initiative that challenges stereotypes about neurological differences and highlights the value of people who think and experience the world in different ways. It encourages schools, organisations, and communities to recognise the talents of neurodivergent individuals and to build more inclusive environments where everyone can thrive.
At Circles Network we believe that every person has the right to live a valued life in their community, with opportunities, relationships, and a voice in the decisions that affect them. Our work focuses on building inclusive communities where people are supported to contribute, connect, and shape their own futures.
What is Neurodiversity?
Neurodiversity describes the natural differences in how people think, learn, process information, and communicate. These differences are a normal part of human diversity. Terms such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscalculia, autism, and ADHD are often included under the umbrella of neurodiversity.
Around fifteen to twenty percent of people are thought to have a neurological difference. For many, the barriers they face are not caused by how they think, but by systems and environments designed around a narrow range of learning and communication styles.
Recognising neurodiversity means taking a balanced view of people’s strengths and challenges. When communities understand this, they move away from focusing only on difficulties and begin to recognise the skills, creativity, and perspectives that different minds bring.
Building inclusive communities
Neurodiversity Celebration Week reminds us that inclusion requires action as well as awareness. By removing barriers, listening to lived experience, and designing environments that work for more people, communities become stronger and more supportive.
At Circles Network, celebrating neurodiversity is part of our wider commitment to inclusion. Through our Advocacy, Community, Equine, and Academy projects, we work alongside people to ensure everyone has the opportunity to take part in community life.

When we value different ways of thinking, we create communities where everyone can participate, and succeed.
