3D! - Lead Facilitator Locations - Cardiff and Bristol Salary - TBC Full time - 37.5 hours a week Initial 3 month contract Circles Network continues to go from strength to strength in our work supporting disabled and disadvantaged children, young people, adults and families to be included and take control of their lives. Based in Cardiff or Bristol this is an exciting new project. You'll report to the Regional Co-ordinator, but will be based in the community, marketing and promoting through workshop and other events to identify individuals who need support. Self Directed Support is changing the way social care is delivered to people by giving them an ‘individualised budget’ which they can manage themselves giving them control of their own support. It gives individuals choice and flexibility over how and when they are supported. This can be seen as an exciting but daunting prospect. The Lead Facilitator works with individuals, parents and carers to maximise the benefits for all. We are looking for individuals with excellent communication and organisational skills, who can manage their own project to identify individuals who need our support. Knowledge of person centred planning, self directed support plans, circles of support and advocacy would be a distinct advantage, but enthusiasm and drive is vitally important. You will be able to demonstrate a professional and outgoing approach to work, with a proactive and positive attitude to challenges. Previous experience of disability issues would be useful. Circles Network offers flexible working policies. Closing Date: 11 June 2010
