Inclusion Matters
A one day workshop aimed at increasing participants’ awareness of person centred approaches. We will look at how to achieve inclusion for disabled people within the community.
This course is designed to accompany our pack 'Inclusion Matters'.
Through the course you will: • develop an understanding of inclusion, building on existing knowledge of related issues and the values which underpin inclusion. • explore the Social & Medical Model of disability and the impact of these models on disabled people. • be introduced to the concept of person centred approaches which recognises all forms of communication and enhances friendships and relationships leading to greater opportunities for inclusion
